It seems Bamberg Archbishop Ludwig Schick would like to return to the archaic times of 17th century Europe when blasphemy laws were common.
The Local reports that Schick thinks:
…there should be a “Law against the derision of religious values and feelings,” the Süddeutsche Zeitung reported. (The Local 2012)
Blasphemy laws have many potential problems:

I’m opposed. That would mean you cannot criticize any religion, not Islam, not any cult, not even Satanism, or Secular Humanism, or atheism. Too many Christians forget, that when something applies to Christianity, it applies to EVERY religion — every cult.
