Religion Addiction Part One

In 2000 I came upon this book and it forever changed how I view religion.  In the book Booth examines the idea that religion can lead to an addiction that is not very much different from gambling or other poly-behavioural/process addictions. Research is greatly lacking on the subject but a few experts have taken the idea quite seriously.  They have identified the criteria, symptoms and recovery approaches to  religion addiction. This exploration looks at religion addiction and will attempt to justify the view that religion is a drug.
